Welcome to The Skate for Diabetes event and movement site!
Our main purpose is to raise money to help Breathrough T1D in their research for a cure for Type One Diabetes!
We have had success with fundraising events in Mattoon, Illinois and Decatur, Illinois in previous years. The covid era led to rink closures and public skating shutdowns. Now skating rinks are opening again, and we can get back to our mission!
Our event date and celebration will be at The Silver Star Skate Center in Mattoon, Illinois. The date is for Mattoon, Illinois is Saturday, September 19th 2026! The event is 6pm to 9pm Central time! HALF of the entry fees will be donated to Breakthrough T1D!
